Powertec expands its wireless technology business in Australia

[ad_1]

Powertec’s wireless technology business has expanded into Australia’s manufacturing and surveillance sector.

The company says the move was prompted by the increased demand for wireless technology solutions. This prompted them to further expand the Powertec Solutions team and reach new customers.

As part of the development, Powertec locally designed and manufactured turnkey wireless systems in formats ranging from deployable skids, temporary towers, shipping container towers, tripods and trailers.

These deployable systems are manufactured in Australia and exported internationally and act as modular and reconfigurable infrastructure platforms.

Doug Pukallus, CTO, Powertec, says that as the need for communications solutions grows, Powertec will provide a range of options and services suitable for a variety of networks and power systems.

“Systemizing our communications platforms is essential to helping our customers create flexible technology solutions that can be converted from temporary to permanent installations, converted from trailer mount to floor mount, reconfigured in response to an upgrade. grid upgrade or expansion of power system requirements,” he says.

“Our approach not only extends the life of these assets, but helps protect our natural environment by providing a route to reuse and recycling for a traditionally single-use class of assets.”

A key solution in Powertec’s portfolio is the repeater trailer, which comprises a mining-specification trailer platform with an all-solar and electronic subsystem.

The unit comes standard with an ACMA approved repeater that boosts full power 4G coverage within a few hundred yards.

Powertec says that depending on geography and the area to be covered, the trailer can broadcast 4G LTE mobile voice and data services from 300 meters in a wide area, up to one kilometer in a narrow direction. Multiple systems can also be daisy-chained to extend a mobile signal even further.

The repeater trailers act as a fully managed platform and are monitored by the company’s National Operations Center (NOC). They are also tracked by GPS and managed remotely, allowing the Powertec team to receive live alerts and perform fault diagnostics remotely.

Powertec says it also plans to deploy its repeater trailers and towers by leveraging its National Coverage Model (NCM), a proprietary GIS mapping technology that predicts 4G and 5G network performance to determine accuracy anywhere in the world. country.

For areas where no 4G connectivity exists, the company uses its suite of Private 5G, Mesh Wireless and Place-Based Network technologies to provide high-performance connectivity solutions.
